Research, public advocacy, training, equipping and supporting the inclusion of women in the mainstream of leadership, scholarship, and service in the church and society of Africa. The unit works to identify barriers to the participation of women in leadership in the church, and to support the theological education of women in the church and in other ecclesiastical sciences and other important areas of studies like social justice, law, education, public health, ethics among others. The unit also gives a voice to women in the church, identifies and develops skills and assets of women faith-based leaders at the grassroots level and curates the stories of African religious women as an important contribution to church and mission history in Africa.
