In February 2024, the Pan-African Catholic Theology and Pastoral Network, in partnership with the Confederation of Major Superiors of Africa and Madagascar (COSMAM), launched a new program on Transformational Leadership. This program is designed to enable religious sisters to lead effectively within their communities by providing them with the necessary skills and mindset. The program aims to cultivate a new generation of transformational leaders who will contribute to the flourishing of consecrated life in Africa for years to come.
The program’s induction ceremony, which took place on the 6th of February, celebrated the enrollment of more than 400 religious women who have embarked on this transformative journey to inspire positive change and make a lasting impact within their communities and society. The program seeks to address religious leaders’ challenges in their mission by providing them with a structured training program to navigate the opportunities and challenges present in contemporary consecrated life in Africa.The Transformational Leadership Training in Consecrated Life program represents a significant milestone in empowering African religious leaders to lead with vision, integrity, and compassion. The program’s objective is to equip religious leaders with the knowledge, skills, and commitment needed to inspire positive change and make a lasting impact within their communities and society. Through continued collaboration and collective effort, the program aims to build a new generation of transformational leaders who will contribute to the flourishing of consecrated life in Africa.
